Directed by Simone Stock, “Stolen by Their Father” is a gripping drama thriller on Lifetime. Based on real-life incidents, it follows Lizbeth Meredith, a single mother who lives in Alaska with her young daughters Meredith and Marianthi. When the girls don’t return after visiting their father one day, Lizbeth begins to suspect her ex-husband’s motives. Her worst fears come true when she finds out he has kidnapped their daughters and fled to Greece. So, she embarks on a journey to rescue her daughters from their abusive father and bring them home safely.

“Stolen by Their Father” was filmed in authentic locations in Greece and Ontario, particularly in Athens and Hamilton. Principal photography began in November 2021 and wrapped on December 16, 2021. The cast and crew had an amazing time exploring the beautiful locations of filming locations. Here is an overview of all these places.
Athens, Greece
“Stolen by Their Father” was mostly recorded in Athens, the beautiful capital of Greece. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, established in 508 BC and having human civilization from the 7th to 11th century BC. Athens is considered the cradle of democracy, and the main political, philosophical, cultural and social principles and beliefs of the world originate from the city. Today it is an international hub of finance, arts, sea and travel.
Athens spreads over the plain of Attica, which is bordered on all four sides by magnificent mountains. Moreover, it is built around several hills and has three historical rivers named Ilisos, Cephissus and Eridanos. Among the many important sites in the city are the Acropolis of Athens, the Daphni Monastery, the Hellenic Parliament, and the Byzantine and Christian Museum. The movie ‘Monday’ was shot in Athens.
Hamilton, Ont.
Significant parts of “Stolen by Their Father” were also shot in Hamilton, a port city on the western tip of Lake Ontario. The cast and crew filmed several scenes near St. James’s Anglican Church on Melville Street as well as at Dyment’s Country Bakery and Farm Market at 416 Fallsview Road East, both in Dundas. Parts of it were later recorded at a property on Melville Street.
Hamilton is split by the Niagara Escarpment and thus home to many forest areas and waterfalls. Additionally, the city is home to major tourist attractions like Dundurn Castle, the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Pigott Building Complex, the Bruce Trail, and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Hamilton has also served as a filming site for many movies and shows like ‘Nightmare Alley’, ‘It’, ‘The Boys’, and ‘Locke and Key’.
Meet the cast of Stolen by Their Father:
1) Sarah Drew
Sarah Drew is popularly known for playing Dr. April Kepner in the hit series Grey’s Anatomy. The Long Island-born actress was last seen in the Hallmark drama One Summer.
She has appeared in multiple TV series including Cruel Summer, Seattle Grace: Message of Hope, Mad Men, Supernatural, and Everwood. Some of her movie credits include Front of the Class, Mom’s Night Out, Christmas Pen Pals, and Christmas in Vienna.
Drew will be seen playing Lizbeth Meredith in Stolen by Their Father. The producer, director, and writer is married to Peter Lanfer and lives with their two kids and their dog in Los Angeles.
2) Kimonas Kouris
Kimonas Kouris is an actor from Greece who will play the father’s role in the upcoming Lifetime flick. Going by his Instagram feed, he is passionate about his work and loves spending time with his pets.
Kouris has done many incredible short films including Pacino’s Way, Iskioma, Avanos, and Nexting. He has also appeared in other projects like Pack of Sheep, The Audience, Exapsi, Journey from Greece, and Iroides.
3) Carina Battrick and Valentina Battrick
Carina and Valentina Battrick are sisters who are set to play siblings in Stolen by Their Father. Carina will play Marianthi, while Valentina will play Meredith.
Among the sisters, Carina is an experienced actress, model, and dancer who started her acting career at the age of four. She has appeared in Feel the Beat, Chucky, Falling, and Impulse.
Valentina is the eldest sister, who is also a dancer and actress. She is a singer and a gifted student. She has done many projects including Fear Thy Neighbor, The Wishing Tree, and According to Kids.
The sisters also have a younger sibling named Antonia Battrick, who will soon begin her acting career as a child artist.
