New York, New York State
Several vital episodes of the series were shot in New York. Although it is one of the financial and commercial capitals of the world, the city also has a thriving film and television industry. The former alone contributes billions of dollars to the state’s economy and provides employment to hundreds of thousands of people. In addition to being the world leader in feature film production, New York often breaks the records for filming television pilots and has also served as the shooting destination for countless shows.
Los Angeles, California
While most of the specials were shot in New York, the producers also focused on Los Angeles on some occasions. In 2014, the cast and crew flew to the city of Angeles to record the highly anticipated reunion for the show’s fifth episode. Since Los Angeles has been a prominent destination for film and television production since the early 1900s, it’s no surprise that, like countless other reality TV series, “Teen Mom 2” is also filmed there. Hawaii
Hawaii is one of several shooting locations for ‘Teen Mom 2’. In Season 9, while on vacation in Hawaii, Gracie reveals her true feelings for Jeremy to Leah. Interestingly, in the eighth episode of ‘Teen Mom 2’, Leah visits the picturesque islands of the western US state with Kailyn.
Costa Rica
While Costa Rica isn’t the main photo destination for the reality series, it does feature in the ninth season of “Teen Mom 2.” Leah visits the Central American country with Kailyn in the episode where Chelsea buys land for herself. Costa Rica is known for its exotic natural environment and tropical beaches that attract visitors from all over the world.
