In episode 4 of “Bel-Air”, titled “Canvas”, Will (Jabari Banks) and Carlton (Olly Sholotan) agree to work together for mutual benefit. Phil’s (Adrian Holmes) campaign is finally getting underway. Viv (Cassandra Freeman) looks back on her past and plans to start painting again. Jazz (Jordan L. Jones) and Hilary (Coco Jones) meet for the first time. It seems at least a week has passed since Will’s outstanding performance at the basketball game and Carlton’s panic attack. Carlton seems to be doing much better now. He makes a deal with his father: if he and Will manage to register 50 voters, Phil will take him to the Monaco Grand Prix. Will and Tray’s relationship has improved dramatically since the last episode. Tray tells Will that Rashaad found out where he is. With Uncle Phil not in the house, a panicked Will goes to Gregory, who assures him that he will take care of it. From Hilary, Will learns of Carlton’s plans and makes his own deal with Viv: if he and Carlton are successful, Will can invite Tray to Los Angeles.
While the boys go door-to-door trying to convince voters to register, Hilary and Ashley visit local stores and ask the owners if they’ll put Phil’s campaign posters in their windows. At a record store, they meet Jazz, who is the owner of said store. Hilary and Jazz have seen each other before, but this is their first official meeting. Hilary learns that neither Jazz nor the store have a social media presence and decides to rectify that. Hilary’s conflict with her mother continues as the young woman tries to assert her independence in the eyes of her critical mother. She applies to several Houses of Influence but receives first one rejection after another. When she is finally accepted into a house of influence called the Crib of Influence, she is rightly ecstatic because she can now move. However, Viv is horrified by the prospect when she finds out.
It is revealed that Ashley sometimes sneaks out of her house to play online games with her friends. The show also offers sweet hints that she might be interested in a girl in the group. Meanwhile, as they visit house after house to convince voters to register, Carlton and Will realize that it won’t be as easy as they thought. Carlton’s logical approach isn’t working because voters clearly don’t see the rich and powerful Phillip Banks as one of them. As always, Will has an idea. He invites all potential voters to the rink for a meeting with Phil. It was supposed to be a private fundraiser, but Will opens it up to the public.
Initially worried, Phil warms to the idea as his son and nephew work together to convince him. And it works. His constituents are finding out that he wants to defund the police and bar prosecutors from pursuing sentencing improvements for first-time felons. These policies seem to earn him the support of his base. While successfully convincing voters to register, the two boys get what they want.
End of episode 4 of Bel-Air: Who killed Rashaad?
Rashaad is a drug dealer in West Philly. He is the main reason Will had to leave his hometown and come to Los Angeles to live with his maternal aunt and family. Near the end of episode 3, Rashaad learns Will’s whereabouts from a video clip of the latter’s first basketball game. In this episode, after learning from Tray that Rashaad knows where he is, Will goes to talk to Gregory, who tells him that everything is under control and not to worry his uncle and aunt about it.
It seems Gregory has connections in the Los Angeles underworld, and he and his associates have already paid Rashaad $10,000 to appease him. But it didn’t work and now Rashaad wants more money. So he decides to take care of the problem permanently. As Will would later learn from Tray, Rashaad was shot at a strip club. When Gregory tells his associate earlier that he has no intention of continuing to pay Rashaad, he basically tells him to deal with the situation by taking out the drug dealer. Now that Rashaad is gone, Will and Tray can lead normal lives. However, Will probably now has an idea of ​​who Gregory really is.
