New York City is one of the first places the cast and crew traveled to film the series. The city is a major cultural, financial and media center of the country. New York is famous for its Art Deco style architecture and skyscrapers. It is also a popular tourist destination and local attractions include Central Park, the Unisphere, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. Filming for popular movies and shows such as ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, ‘The Gilded Age’ and ‘The Mandalorian’ took place in New York City.
Nyack, NY
Nyack Village in Orangetown, Rockland County is also one of the show’s filming sites. It is considered a suburb of New York and is located about 15 miles north of Manhattan. Filming of some scenes from season 1 took place in February 2021 at the Village Gate Townhouses, a housing project, and Two Villains Brewing, a pub located at 132 Main Street, Nyack.
Kingston, New York
The city of Kingston, located in the county of Ulster, appears in the series through exterior shots. Over three days in March 2021, the show’s crew filmed several scenes around the city at 1 East Main Street. The city is known for its colonial past and historic churches.
Beacon, New York
The show’s cast and crew shot footage in the town of Beacon. It is located in Dutchess County and various stores in the town appear in the series with some cosmetic changes. Area residents will recognize popular local spots such as Beacon Bath and Bubble at 458 Main Street, The Vault at 446 Main Street and Beacon Falls Cafe at 472 Main Street, to name a few.
Yonkers, New York
Parts of the first season were filmed in Yonkers, Westchester County. The crew set up camp in and around the Pietro Drive area to film the scenes. Hit shows such as “The Sinner” and “The Sopranos” were filmed in Yonkers.
Holmdel, New Jersey
New Jersey also serves as the filming site for the thriller series. During the final stages of principal photography for the first season, the production team shot a few scenes in parts of Holmdel Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Footage for the first season was shot at Bell Works (also known as Bell Labs Holmdel Complex) at 101 Crawfords Corner Road.
