Fishbowl Wives season 2 plot: What can it be about?
In Season 1, Sakura experiences abuse from her husband Takuya. Feeling trapped in her marriage, she begins a relationship with Haruto. On the other hand, Sota and Saya’s marriage begins to be affected due to his alcohol addiction. Saya finds solace in Takuya and has a brief sexual encounter with him. Elsewhere, Yuriha feels that her husband prioritizes his mother over her and begins to feel disrespected in her home. She finds an unlikely friend in Momoki, who is a construction worker renovating his house. The two relate to each other’s misfortunes and reunite.
Meanwhile, Yuka’s husband refuses to fulfill her dreams of having a baby so she meets her ex-boyfriend Jun. At the same time, Noriko’s husband forces her to have a physical relationship with his colleague Tsuta, but she finds the latter to be a more understanding person than him. Simultaneously, Hisako is confronted by her young son about his secret affair with Baba. After several obstacles, Takuya and Sakura recognize that their marriage has fallen apart and decide to divorce. Despite their separation, she helps him when his salon is closed due to financial issues and has an emotional final encounter with Haruto.
In the season finale, the lives of the six women change dramatically after a two-year time jump. Yuka is three months pregnant but doesn’t know who the baby’s father is. Yuriha and Momoki continue to meet in secret while Noriko’s husband repents after she left him for Tsuta. Sakura and Haruto are doing well individually but miss each other deeply. Sota and Saya reconcile and start running together again, like they did before their problems arose. Also, Hisako sever her ties with Baba for the sake of her family and regain happiness with her son and husband.
The potential second season will most likely pick up on the events of Season 1 and explore if fate decides to bring Sakura and Haruto back together. The identity of Yuka’s baby’s father will also be revealed, as well as whether Noriko decides to forgive her husband or not. Additionally, the fate of Yuriha and Momoki’s affair can be depicted at the same time as it is revealed to her husband and stepmother.
