Investigation Discovery’s “Evil Lives Here: I Invited Him In” is an episode that examines the horrific story of Nathaniel White, a serial killer who killed six people between March 1991 and July 1992. All six were female, and the truth is that those who knew him have since claimed that he had a long history of sexual assault against the opposite sex. So now, if you want to know more about the convicted criminal, including his background, motivations and modus operandi (MO), as well as his current whereabouts, we have the details for you.
Who is Nathaniel White?
Born on July 28, 1960, Nathaniel White’s background seems entirely ordinary compared to his heinous actions as an adult – unlike the instability most serial killers experienced growing up. In short, he is said to have always had a good relationship with his factory worker parents, alongside whom he first moved to Poughkeepsie, New York, in the early 1970s. It was here that Nathaniel worked for about a year. year after graduating from the city’s high school in 1979 before joining the army, only to be permanently discharged from national service in 1983.

After subsequently living in Maryland for a brief time, Nathaniel returned to New York, where he settled in the Hudson Valley area, and then began his crime spree. He committed an armed robbery in 1986, before his decision to go further by attempting to abduct a 16-year-old girl from the street while on parole. He was therefore charged with both unlawful imprisonment and a parole violation, but he has just spent a year behind bars due to a plea bargain for a simple misdemeanor count in connection with the same.
However, no amount of conviction could apparently stop Nathaniel because he murdered his first victim in the short window he had as a free man before he had to go to jail. However, the connection between them was not established at the time, which led to him continuing to kill once he was again released on parole – targeting those close to his girlfriend. or strangers he met nearby. In fact, Nathaniel not only killed one of his partner’s friends, he also killed his niece, increasing the age range of his victims from 14 to 34.

Nathaniel White’s MO was still the same; he beat and stabbed the women to death. The only difference was that he sometimes left them naked and in suggestive poses after washing their bodies. His actions were simply atrocious in every sense of the word, which is why, when a witness identified him on August 2, 1992, he was immediately taken into custody and questioned. Nonetheless, it wasn’t until the New York native was told about a bloody fingerprint left at one of the crime scenes that he confessed to each crime.

Nathaniel claimed that the voices he heard in his head when he was drunk prompted him to kill the six women and that he was inspired by scenes from “RoboCop 2” as well as a vampire movie. “The first girl I killed was from a ‘RoboCop’ movie,” he said. “I saw him slit someone’s throat and then take the knife and cut their chest down to their stomach and leave the body in a certain position. With the first person I killed, I did exactly what I saw in the movie.
So on April 14, 1993, following a trial after pleading not guilty by reason of insanity, Nathaniel was found guilty of six counts of second-degree murder. He was subsequently sentenced to 25 years to life on each charge, meaning that today, at the age of 61, he is serving his 150-year sentence at the maximum security correctional facility in ‘Elmira (The Hill) in upstate New York. He will be eligible for parole in 2038.
