Based on the Japanese manga series of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ (or simply ‘Demon Slayer’) is a dark fantasy anime. The show revolves around Tanjirou Kamado, a hardworking young adult whose life takes a turn for the worse when his entire family is ruthlessly slaughtered except for his sister Nezuko. Unfortunately, Nezuko has a far more terrible fate as she is turned into a demon and left to suffer. Tanjirou swears to avenge the cruel murder of his family by killing Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, and turning his sister into a human in the process. The emotional journey of a seemingly ordinary but immensely kind young adult has moved viewers around the world.

The show became one of the most popular anime of all time and received critical acclaim for its brilliant storyline and incomparable animation. Therefore, after the conclusion of season 2, it should come as no surprise that fans are eagerly awaiting the next episode. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 Release Date

Season 2 of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” was released on October 10, 2021, after a long break of 17 months and ended on February 13, 2022. The second installment focused on Mugen Train and Entertainment arcs District and consisted of 18 episodes, each with a running time of approximately 21 to 46 minutes.

Regarding the third installment of the dark fantasy anime, we have good news for the fans. Right after the conclusion of the Entertainment District Arc, it was officially announced that the anime had been renewed for another season. However, this should come as no surprise to fans since Tanjirou hasn’t even faced the upper rank demons yet. So, fighting Muzan Kibutsuji and ending his reign of terror – which is supposed to bring the show’s conclusion – isn’t even realistic at this point.

Meanwhile, it’s worth mentioning that the official confirmation also acknowledged that the third installment will revolve around the Swordsmith Village arc. Ufotable Studio, which has been widely praised for its brilliant animation, is likely to prioritize the production of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” due to its popularity.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 Plot: What could it be about?

In the Season 2 finale, Gyuutarou and Daki, the top rank six of the twelve Kizuki, die after fighting a fierce battle with Tanjirou and his companions, including the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui. As the Demon Slayers win, Uzui and Inosuke are on the verge of death and are only saved by Nezuko’s surprising control over Blood Demon Art.

Since the Sound, Hashira has lost his arm and an eye; he decides to retire, aware that he will not be of much use in direct combat. At the last moment of the episode, Akaza is summoned (most likely along with other higher-ranking demons) to Infinity Castle by Muzan Kibutsuji.

In Season 3, after realizing that his sword needs to be repaired and that Hotaru Haganezuka is unlikely to face so many problems for him, Tanjirou Kamado goes to Swordsmith Village in search of a new Nichirin sword. There he will meet the amorous Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji and the misty Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and treat his wounds in the medicinal hot springs of the village.

While he finds a mysterious 300-year-old sword during training, happiness and calm won’t last long for the Demon Slayer and the residents of Swordsmith Village as the dark forces plan a vicious incursion. Only a few days after his arrival, the village will be attacked by Upper Rank Five Gyokko and Upper Rank Four Hantengu. As Nezuko, Tanjirou, Mitsuri, and Genya battle Hantengu, the Hashira Mist will be left alone to face Gyokko, which will prove fatal for Muichiro.
