“Attack on Titan” Season 4 Episode 24 titled “Pride” focuses on the events following Hange’s jump with Levi seriously injured in the river. Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 24 Recap
Several days before Hange met General Magath and Pieck for negotiations, she jumped into the river with Levi to protect humanity’s strongest soldier from the Yaegerists who were out to kill him. She was then chased by soldiers allied to Eren and was forced to eliminate them. After hiding Levi’s injured body in the forest, she sat on a treetop and shot any Yaegerist who followed her. Once she made sure no one was following them, Hange attended to Levi’s serious injuries and was surprised that her friend somehow survived the violent explosion.
In the present day, Hange attempted to negotiate with General Magath and Pieck to work with them. Levi, who is still not recovered from his injuries, supported his friends’ arguments and hinted at the desire to unite to stand against Eren. When Magath expresses his desire to know where Zeke is, Hange argues that Eren most likely absorbed him so he could continue using the powers of the Founding Titan. Meanwhile, Connie is resting in a forest on his way to his village with Falco.
He feels guilty for his decision but thinks he doesn’t really have a choice. The next day, when he reaches his village, Falco finally begins to distrust Connie. The latter shows him his mother in her current state and makes the strange request to help him brush his teeth. As he takes Falco to the top of his destroyed house, Armin and Gabi reach the place at just the right time. They warn him that Connie is going to feed him to his mother. Armin, who has seen enough bloodshed so far and feels he shouldn’t have survived in Erwin’s place, decides to take matters into his own hands.
The owner of the Colossal Titan decides to sacrifice himself to transform Connie’s mother into a human being. But just as Armin is about to be devoured, Connie steps in and saves his friend. He realizes the gravity of the mistake he was about to make and feels that his mother would never have wanted him to kill a child, even to save his life. Gabi, Armin, Connie and Falco then head to a nearby market to eat something, where they accidentally run into Annie, who doesn’t hesitate to join them.
Meanwhile, Floch is about to execute Yelena and Onyankopon and lays out all the arguments to justify the decision in front of the Yaegerists. When Onyankopon retaliates, Jean shoots four times into the ground, after which the Cart Titan devours him. It turns out that Pieck had just saved him following a deal with Hange, and she even managed to take Yelena and Onyankopon with her. Mikasa, Connie, Armin, who has already teamed up with Gabi, Flaco and Annie, wake Reiner up.

After Eren acquired the Founding Titan and practically gained god-like powers, Reiner was too overwhelmed with the loss. He had already expressed his desire to just die so his violent life could finally end many times in the past, and his inability to stop Eren and Zeke’s plan made him even more depressed. He went into a long sleep while Gabi decided to fight back and put his life on the line. After they manage to save Falco with Armin’s help, they also add Annie to their numbers, after which they wake Reiner up. .
It’s worth noting that Jean firing several times into the ground was actually a signal for the Cart Titan to take her and Yelena and Onyankopon to Hange and General Magath. Mikasa even confirms this by informing Connie of Jean’s signal. Although viewers don’t see Hange and General Magath planning the whole operation with Jean, Mikasa, Connie, Annie, and Armin, it seems like they conspired to make the mission a success.
But where does Reiner’s revival fit into all of this, and what is the end goal of the sudden uprising. Although it seems impossible to stop Eren, it seems that these brave soldiers haven’t given up hope. They awaken Reiner to build up their strength so they can fight back against the Yaegerists on Paradis Island and eventually confront Eren, who is about to take the lives of every human on the planet except for Ymir’s subjects. .
